DINT ARRESTS MAN ON SEVERAL DRUG RELATED CRIMES

Wednesday night detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team arrested a local man on suspicion of several drug related crimes.

Lieutenant Rick McArthur of DINT said at approximately 11:00 p.m. 33-year old Alex Childs was detained by Roseburg Police pursuant to a traffic stop in the 400 block of Southeast Stephens. McArthur said at the same time, DINT detectives were executing a search warrant at Child’s residence in the 500 block of West Umpqua Street.

McArthur said a search of Child’s residence allegedly revealed dealer level quantities of drugs. Detectives allegedly located approximately 94 grams of suspected heroin and approximately 80 grams of suspected fentanyl.

Childs was charged with unlawful possession and attempted delivery of both heroin and fentanyl.  After arraignment he was held on $100,000 bail.
