The Celebration of Literacy continues with the annual literacy play happening at Roseburg High School over the next two weeks

Organizer Maxine Durst said every year the RHS Drama Department writes, produces and performs a play promoting the concept of reading, to elementary students. The play is one of the first COL events which began locally during the first year of COL, in 2002.    Over 2,400 students are pre-registered to attend.

Schools with students attending include:

*March 3rd – Tri-City, Myrtle Creek and Riddle elementaries

*March 4th – Fullerton IV

*March 7th – Glide and Brockway

*March 8th – Yoncalla, Melrose and Green

*March 9th – Sunnyslope, Camas Valley, Yoncalla and Eastwood

*March 11th – Fir Grove

Schools must be seated no later than 10:30 a.m. on their appointed day.
