Altrusa International of Roseburg and the Umpqua Literacy Council will host Go Wild with Reading Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Wildlife Safari.
The event is part of the Celebration of Literacy.
All vehicles carrying children from Douglas County will be allowed in free of charge. Each car must either show the flyer for the event or the driver must show a Douglas County address on their driver license.
Before or after taking the drive-through of the park, families can stop in the village at the dome to receive four free books per child and participate in the reading related booths. Books will also be given away. A book exchange will be there, so participants can bring a book to exchange for a different one. There will also be a strolling story time as well.
The event was previously called the Celebration of Literacy Reading Fair, but due to the pandemic was moved to an open-air environment.
