A suspect evaded being captured by police during a chase on Monday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 10:40 p.m. a deputy saw a pickup come off of Reuben Road in south county and speed out Glendale Valley Road near Glendale. The deputy caught up with the vehicle on Junction Road, where the suspect pulled a U turn. The driver appeared to be a clean-shaven skinny male with a light grey hoody.

The deputy initiated a stop but the pickup took off and went up Tunnel Road. The deputy lost sight of the vehicle as the road conditions got bad and he had to terminate the pursuit.
