A Roseburg man was jailed on a theft charge on Monday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 10:30 a.m. officers contacted the suspect in the 3200 block of West Shasta for an unrelated incident. The 34-year old was a suspect in a previous case where he allegedly used a stolen card to send himself $100. Via a consent search, the officer found the stolen debit card in the suspect’s wallet.

The man was detained for second-degree theft. Additional charges are pending in the case. Bail was set at $6,250.
