ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING ALLEGED TRESPASS INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged trespass incident on Saturday.

An RPD report said just after 5:30 p.m..32-year old Daniel Shakespear was witnessed getting inside a vehicle without the owner’s permission at a business in the 1300 block of Northeast Stephens. Shakespear was later located nearby and detained. An officer recognized the suspect from a previous restraining order case that had been submitted for a warrant in January. While checking files, the officer saw that a different officer also had probable cause to arrest Shakespear for violating the same restraining order.

Shakespear was charged with 2 counts of violating a restraining order and for second-degree criminal trespass. Bail was set at $11,250.
