A woman was jailed on drug and other charges after allegedly running from police on Thursday.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 2:00 p.m. a deputy saw 23-year old Sarah King in the 100 block of Roberts Creek Road in Green, and knew there was a warrant for her arrest. The report said the deputy attempted to make an arrest, but the suspect ran. The woman was taken into custody after getting approximately 150 feet. A search of the suspect’s backpack allegedly located around 2.4 grams of methamphetamine.
King was charged with unlawful possession of meth, third-degree escape, interfering with a police officer and for three warrants. Bail was set at $97,500.
