COVID-19 has claimed 4 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,778, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 198 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state today to 208,834, The new cases include:

*21 each in Clackamas and Multnomah counties

*18 in Lane County

*17 in Marion counties

*15 in Linn County

*13 in Washington County

*12 each in Deschutes and Umatilla counties

*9 each in Jackson and Polk counties

*8 in Yamhill County

*7 in Douglas County

*5 each in Josephine, Klamath and Tillamook counties

*4 in Jefferson County

*3 in Columbia County

*2 each in Crook and Lake counties

*1 each in Benton, Clatsop, Coos, Curry, Hood River, Lincoln, Malheur, Morrow, Union and Wasco counties.

The new deaths ranged in age from 49 to 87. 1 each lived in Columbia, Coos, Harney and Jefferson counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 134, which is 2 fewer than on Wednesday. There are 27 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 3 fewer than on Wednesday.

OHA reported that 8,535 new doses of COVID-19 vaccination were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 4,395 doses were administered on Wednesday. 4,140 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
