A Heat Advisory is in effect until 11:00 p.m. Thursday for central Douglas County.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said very hot temperatures are expected with afternoon highs ranging between 92 degrees and 102 degrees. Temperatures should lower very gradually as the week goes on.
Forecasters said hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses to occur. The high daytime temperatures combined with warm overnight lows will result in continued heat risk and heat related stress,
An Excessive Heat Warning remains in place for much of the rest of southern Oregon with high temperatures expected to remain hotter.
