2 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, and 15 more people have received new positive test results, as of Wednesday.

County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the 81st COVID-19 related death was a 63-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on May 23rd and passed away on Jun 10th. Dannenhoffer said the Oregon Health Authority will be reporting the 82th death of a county resident related to COVID-19.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases is now at 3,831. Of those, 3,650 are people that have received positive test results, and 181 are presumptive. 12 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 7 locally and 5 outside the area. 157 people are in isolation. 518 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network is supporting 675 people that are either in isolation or quarantine. That is a decrease of 61 people since Tuesday.
