COVID-19 has claimed 16 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,716, as of Wednesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 269 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 203,833, The new cases include:

*40 in Marion County

*37 in Clackamas County

*32 in Multnomah County

*19 in Deschutes County

*15 in Jackson County

*14 each in Douglas and Washington counties

*10 in Lane County

*8 in Linn County

*7 each in Josephine, Malheur, Polk, Umatilla and Yamhill counties

*6 each in Grant and Jefferson counties

*4 in Klamath County

*3 each in Columbia, Curry, Harney, Lincoln and Union counties

*2 each in Baker, Benton, Crook and Morrow counties

*1 each in Clatsop, Coos, Hood River, Lake and Wallowa counties

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 164, which is 8 fewer than on Tuesday. There are 36 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is unchanged from Tuesday.

OHA reported that 21,394 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 12,736 doses were administered on Tuesday. 9,198 were administered on previous days but were added to the state immunization registry on Tuesday.
