COVID-19 has claimed 1 more life, raising the state’s death toll to 2,155, as of Sunday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 111 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 152,818. The new cases include:
*21 in Douglas County
*13 in Lane County
*11 each in Deschutes and Marion counties.
*9 each in Columbia and Coos counties
*8 in Multnomah County
*4 each in Clackamas and Polk counties
*3 each in Benton, Curry, Jefferson and Washington counties
*2 in Jackson County
*1 each in Josephine, Klamath, Lake, Lincoln, Linn, Umatilla and Yamhill counties
Oregon’s 2,155th COVID-19 death is an 84-year old man in Clackamas County who tested positive on February 16th and died on February 20th at Kaiser Westside Medical Center.
OHA said that due to a server error, a large number of electronic lab results were not processed on Saturday. As a result, Sunday’s case totals are smaller than normal and the total for Monday is expected to be higher than usual after the backlog is processed.
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 166, which is 3 more than Saturday. There are 44 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 7 fewer than on Saturday.
OHA reported that 21,202 new doses were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 17,894 new doses were administered on Saturday. 3,308 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Saturday.
Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 802,404 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 924,575 doses of vaccine has been delivered to sites across Oregon.
