COVID-19 has claimed 6 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,149, as of Thursday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 466 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 151,713. The new cases include:
*66 in Multnomah County
*54 in Washington County
*46 in Marion County
*41 in Lane County
*31 in Clackamas County
*27 in Jackson County
*25 in Douglas County
*21 in Umatilla County
*19 in Deschutes County
*17 in Benton County
*14 in Yamhill County
*13 each in Josephine and Polk counties
*12 in Jefferson County
*9 in Crook County
*8 in Coos County
*6 each in Baker, Columbia, and Klamath counties
*5 in Linn County
*4 each in Curry and Wasco counties
*3 each in Lake, Malheur and Tillamook counties
*2 each in Hood River, Morrow and Union counties
*1 each in Harney, and Lincoln counties
The new deaths ranged in age from an infant boy to and 84-year old man. 2 lived in Deschutes County. 1 each lived in Marion, Josephine, Coos and Umatilla counties.
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 169, which is 21 fewer than on Wednesday. There are 52 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 fewer than on Wednesday.
OHA reported that 22,663 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 14,414 doses were administered on Wednesday. 8,249 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 729,823 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 922,300 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
