On Saturday, the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team reported that 2 more county residents have died of COVID-19.
County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the county’s 23rd COVID-related death was a 76-year old man who was diagnosed and admitted to the hospital on November 16th. He died on Thursday December 3rd. The county’s 24th COVID-related death is a 62-year old woman who tested positive and was admitted to the hospital on November 13th. She died on Friday night.
17 more people have received new positive test results for COVID-19 in the county. The total number of cases is now at 1,053. Of those, 982 are people that have received positive test results and 71 are presumptive. 18 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are being hospitalized, 15 locally and 3 outside the area. 198 people are in isolation. 307 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 505 people that are either in isolation or quarantine.
The next drive through testing clinic with DPHN will be Tuesday in Roseburg.
