COVID-19 CLAIMS 21 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 973 AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 21 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 973, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,151 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, raising the state case total to 79,263. The new cases include:

*292 in Multnomah County

*245 in Washington County

*113 in Marion County

*111 in Clackamas County

*80 in Lane County

*42 each in Linn and Deschutes counties

*36 in Umatilla County

*21 each in Klamath and Yamhill counties

*17 in Douglas County

*11 each in Jackson, Linn and Wasco counties

*10 each in Baker and Benton counties

*9 in Clatsop counties

*7 in Curry County

*6 each in Coos and Union counties

*5 in Columbia County

*4 each in Crook, Hood River, Jefferson and Morrow counties

*2 in Lake County

*1 each in Harney, Josephine, Grant, and Tillamook counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 51 to 98. 6 each lived in Marion and Multnomah counties. 3 lived in Lane County. 2 lived in Clackamas County. 1 each lived in Washington, Lane, Linn, Jackson and Union counties.

OHA reported that the number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients across Oregon increased to 558, 10 more than on Wednesday. There are 109 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, 4 more than on Wednesday.
