COUNTY PASSES 1,000 MARK FOR COVID-19 CASES AS OF THURSDAY

On Thursday, Douglas County passed the 1,000 mark in the number of COVID-19 cases.

18 more people have received new positive test results for COVID-19 and 1 presumptive case has moved to a positive, with a positive test result, as of Thursday.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team reported said the total number of cases is now at 1,010. Over 60 percent of the total number of cases, came during the month of November. The update said while this is a significant milestone during the pandemic, Douglas County is still listed as one of the lowest outbreak areas in the United States.

Of the 1,010 cases, 940 are people that have received positive test results, and 70 are presumptive. There have been 19 deaths. 15 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalized, 13 locally and 2 outside the area. 174 people are in isolation. 325 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 499 people that are either in isolation or quarantine.

The next drive through testing clinic with DPHN is Friday in Roseburg.
