ECHO Every Child has been awarded a $10,000 grant to help with its work in Douglas County.
The funds came from Gordon Wood Insurance and Financial Services through Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance, as part of emergency funding to help independent agents give back to their local community during the COVID-19 crisis. The release said ECHO Every Child is a non-profit organization that aims to provide love, care and support for vulnerable children and families in Douglas County.
Keri Winn of Gordon Wood said their team has recognized the hard work and dedication performed by ECHO Every Child during this pandemic and is thankful to Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance for “stepping up to the plate and providing extra funds to the community when we need it most”.
The release said ECHO Every Child is currently supplementing 184 families in need with food and supplies for new children that come into their home. The funds will also provide kids and foster parents with computers to access zoom meetings for work and virtual schooling.
