MAN CHARGED WITH IDENTITY THEFT, RELATED CHARGES

A Roseburg man was arrested for identity theft and related charges on Saturday night.
A report from Roseburg Police said that 28-year old Kody Jones had allegedly forged and cashed checks in excess of $1,000 on the account of a couple. The man on the account had passed away before the checks were forged according to the report.
Jones was located and also charged with first degree counts of theft, forgery, and criminal possession of a forged instrument. He was detained on $200,000 bail.
