Two people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle wreck on Thursday night.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 11:00 p.m. a 35-year old Yoncalla man was attempting to make a left turn onto Main Street in Yoncalla. A 44-year old Sutherlin man was traveling south on Eagle Valley at about 30 miles per hour. The report said the first driver turned in front of the second, causing a collision.
The first driver had a 1-year old daughter in the car with him, but she was not in a car seat. An adult female was in a rear passenger seat. The driver and the 1-year old were taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield to have their injuries looked at. The 2^nd driver told deputies that he would seek medical attention on his own.
The driver who caused the accident was cited for reckless endangering and for making a dangerous left turn.
