A Glide man was cited for a felony count of driving while suspended and failure to perform the duties of a driver in a collision with property damage on Wednesday morning.

An Oregon State Police report said a pickup struck the guardrail in the early morning hours on Highway 138E in Glide. The driver remained on the scene, sleeping in his vehicle. An employee of the Glide Post Office checked on the man and was concerned about his condition. The subject had walked home prior to the arrival of law enforcement. The man was contacted just after 9:30 a.m. and appeared alert and coherent as the crash had occurred several hours prior. A check showed information about his driving status and the man had not reported the crash.

He was transported to corrections where he was cited and released for the two charges.
