On Monday, Mayor Larry Rich proclaimed November 1st through December 31st, 2026, as Small Business Season in Roseburg during the city council meeting.
A city release said Mayor Rich presented the proclamation to Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Kira Zavala.
The proclamation recognizes small businesses for creating jobs, supporting local organizations and contributing to the character and strength of the Roseburg community. It also recognizes local business owners as neighbors, community leaders, volunteers and supporters of schools, nonprofits and community initiatives.
The release said the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce will mark Small Business Season through educational outreach, business spotlights and community engagement. The campaign will highlight a variety of ways residents can support local businesses, including actions that do not require spending money.
The chamber will also host “Shop Local Saturdays” each Saturday throughout November and December, encouraging residents to visit and support Roseburg businesses while keeping more dollars in the local community.
