Superintendent Jared Cordon is in the guest seat this time as we take a closer look at one of the biggest conversations happening in our community: the recommendation to consolidate Roseburg Schools’ eight elementary schools into seven by closing Fir Grove Elementary at the end of the 2026–27 school year. With a final decision still ahead, there are important questions to explore and opportunities for our community to be part of the process. How did we get here? Why Fir Grove? And what could this mean for our students, families and community? Guest hosts Alex Palm (i.e. Engineering, CFAC) and Meredith Bliss (community facilitator and leadership development professional) are joined by CFAC members Mike Schofield (Roseburg Schools Budget Committee) and Abby McEnroe (registered nurse), along with Roseburg Schools staff Tracy Grauf (Building Operations Manager) and Danielle Littlefield (Director of Finance & Operations).
