Roseburg Police jailed a woman for a reported child neglect incident on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 11:15 a.m. detectives received information indicating that two juveniles tested positive for methamphetamine and cannabinoids following a hair strand analysis. The investigation determined that the children, both age two, had been left unsupervised with their 29-year-old mother.

A housemate allegedly found the children folding vape pens, with spilled water bong water visible on their clothing, and in proximity to a spilled bottle of prescription medications. Detectives contacted the woman at her residence in the 2000 block of Northeast Stephens Street, where she was arrested and charged with second-degree child neglect and reckless endangering. Bail was set at $12,500.
