Roseburg Police cited a juvenile for reckless driving and two counts of attempting to elude on Saturday night.

An RPD report said at 6:15 p.m. officers contacted the 17-year-old male after they attempted to conduct a traffic stop on him near the intersection of Northwest Stewart Parkway and Northwest Mercy Drive. The teen eluded officers on an E-Bike and they lost visual contact of him. Officers were able to identify the rider and contacted him at his residence.

The juvenile admitted to eluding because he was scared. He was also interviewed regarding a previous incident on October 1st, where he eluded officers. The teen admitted to that incident as well.

He was cited and released to a guardian.
