The 5th Annual Roseburg Blocktober Fest takes over historic downtown Roseburg from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

A release from Blocktober Fest organizers said the event is free and open to the public of all ages. The event will fill Southeast Jackson and Southeast Main streets with live music, family entertainment, kids’ activities, local food and drink, downtown businesses and hundreds of vendors.

The event will feature bands and other entertainment on two stages. The Community Stage has live local music all day, and the Family Stage features UACT, hula, line dancing and more.

Downtown parking is free all day and there will be no parking enforcement downtown during the event.

The Umpqua Valley Farmers Market will open at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday instead of its usual 9:00 a.m. and will stay open until 4:00 p.m. on the 400 block of Main Street.

Last year’s festival drew an estimated 5,000 people, according to organizers.

Blocktober Fest is organized by NeighborWorks Umpqua and sponsored by Columbia Bank and Experience Roseburg.
