High pressure in the region is expected to bring gradual warming to the Umpqua Valley this week, with above normal high temperatures by Thursday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that it will be a quiet weather week with no precipitation.

Highs will be in the mid 70’s Tuesday, upper 70’s on Wednesday and near 80 degrees for Thursday and Friday. This weekend will see highs in the low to mid 80’s, with temperatures peaking on Sunday.

The mercury reached 76 degrees on Monday at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That is equal to the normal high temperatures for this week in September.
