A commercial motor vehicle driver was jailed on DUII charges on Tuesday night.
An Oregon State Police report said just after 9:50 p.m. the CMV was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 143 in the Rice Hill area. The driver was unable to maintain his lane of travel and nearly forced another vehicle into the center median barrier. The CMV was located and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver, 43-year-old Timir Passa, was determined to be driving under the influence. He was transported to corrections for processing. Passa was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, and reckless endangering. He was detained without bail and was released on Thursday.
His commercial motor vehicle was towed from the scene.
