OAKLAND MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED MISUE OF 911

An Oakland man was jailed for alleged misuse of 911 early Wednesday morning.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said the 56-year-old had called 911 several times regarding a “CIA shooting investigation” and “Lobbing shots over I5”. The suspect at one point reportedly began to cuss at dispatchers.

When a deputy arrived at the man’s location in the 900 block of Isadore Road in the Oakland area, he allegedly became extremely erratic and hard to understand. His claims were unfounded and he was warned of misuse. Approximately ten minutes later, the man called 911 again. A deputy contacted the man again and was told the suspect had called 911 to “get me back over here”. At approximately 2:30 a.m. the man was taken into custody and transported to corrections. He was detained without bail.
