A contractor with the Oregon Department of Transportation is continuing work on the Interstate 5 Winchester Bridges project.

Dan Latham of ODOT said the project includes repair work to both bridges, resurfacing the travel lanes, reconstructing joints, upgrading bridge rails and more. Latham said this means one southbound lane is closed between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. daily. All lanes will be open for the Labor Day weekend, with the contractor scheduled to resume work after the holiday.
