The Roseburg City Council will hold a special meeting on Wednesday to consider and vote on the selection of Roseburg’s next city manager.

A city release said the council will convene at 6:00 p.m. and enter Executive Session to discuss matters related to the city manager recruitment. Executive Sessions are closed to the general public.

Following the Executive Session, the council will reconvene in open session to conduct a vote within the public meeting whether to authorize the mayor to execute a city manager employment contract. The open portion of the meeting is expected to begin at approximately 6:30 p.m.

The meeting will be held in the council chambers on Southeast Douglas Avenue. Community members may attend the open session in person or online via a livestream on the city’s Facebook page.

If the council approves a selection, the city will release additional information following the meeting.
