ROSEBURG WOMAN DIES IN SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH WEDNESDAY NIGHT

A Roseburg woman died in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 5 Wednesday night.

An Oregon State Police report said just before 8:20 p.m. troopers responded to the accident in the southbound lanes of the freeway near milepost 127 close to the Edenbower Boulevard interchange. The preliminary investigation indicated that a compact vehicle, operated by 25-year-old Deanndra Elaine Hamlett, was traveling southbound when it left the roadway for an unknown reason and rolled over. Hamlett was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Interstate 5 was impacted for approximately five hours during the on-scene investigation.

OSP was assisted by Central Douglas Fire & Rescue and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
