In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Music in the Park in Myrtle Creek concludes its 39th summer concert season Thursday night at Millsite Park.

The Moon Mountain String Band & Instrument Petting Zoo will perform from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It is a seven-piece western Oregon band playing a blend of traditional bluegrass roots with a “newgrass” flair. The Instrument Petting Zoo will bring a unique and interactive educational experience to close out the series.

Attendees should bring a blanket or chair. Food vendors are both on site and nearby. Dogs are allowed if kept under control and cleaned up after.

Music in the Park is Douglas County’s longest running free summer concert series. It is coordinated by the Myrtle Creek-Tri City Area Chamber of Commerce. For more information, call 541-860-2037.
