Sutherlin Police jailed a man following an incident at a hospital on Sunday evening.

An SPD report said just after 7:15 p.m. officers gave the 33-year-old a courtesy ride to CHI Mercy Medical Center so he could admit himself due to mental health issues. In the Emergency Room, the man allegedly began jumping around violently, swinging his arms in the crowded room bumping into others in what appeared to be an attempt to terrorize them for fun.

The man was escorted from the ER by police and hospital security and transported to corrections. He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, interfering with a health care facility and for a parole violation. The man was detained without bail.
