GLENDALE AREA TRANSIENT JAILED FOR WARRANTS

A Glendale area transient was jailed for warrants on Friday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 11:40 p.m. a deputy observed a motor home parked on the side of the road near the intersection of Azalea Glen Road and Whiting Lane in the Glendale area. When the deputy turned his patrol vehicle around, the motor home was driving away. The deputy identified the driver as 60-year-old Alford Dorris, who was known to have several warrants for failure to appear. Dispatch advised that Dorris’s was suspended at the violation level. The man also said that he did not have insurance for the vehicle.

Dorris was charged with the warrants and with driving while suspended and driving uninsured. Bail was set at $28,750.
