Roseburg Police detained a juvenile for unauthorized use of a vehicle early Thursday morning.

An RPD report said just after 1:30 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on a sedan for an improper display of tags near the intersection of West Harvard Avenue and West Maple Street. The driver, a 15-year-old male, was driving without a driver license. Upon contacting the registered owner of the vehicle, officers discovered the vehicle had been taken without permission. The teen was taken to Douglas County Juvenile Detention. The vehicle was returned to its owner.
