Roseburg Police cited a man for unlawful possession of a Schedule II controlled substance early Friday morning.

An RPD report said at 1:45 a.m. officers contacted the 53-year-old behind a motel in the 2800 block of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard, where they allegedly found him in possession of suspected fentanyl. The man admitted that the white powdery substance was fentanyl. He was released after being given a citation.
