Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported disorderly conduct incident on Thursday afternoon.
An RPD report said just after 2:10 p.m. officers responded to Adapt in the 3000 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard after an employee said that the 34-year-old was refusing to leave. After officers made the man leave, he allegedly walked directly into traffic on Diamond Lake Boulevard, causing two passing motorists to have to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting him.
Officers contacted the suspect again and told him he was under arrest, and the man reportedly tried to run away, but was taken into custody. He was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree escape. Bial was set at $8,750.
