Roseburg had a new record high temperature for the date on Thursday and tied for being the hottest day of 2026 so far.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 99 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That beat the previous record high for August 6th which was 98 degrees set in 1955. The temperature also tied with Wednesday and with June 15th for being the hottest day of the year to this point.
Forecasters said some cooling is expected Friday with a high in the mid 90’s. The weekend should have high temperatures between around 90 and the low 90’s. By Monday, conditions return to near seasonal norms with highs in the upper 80s.
