A Winston woman was jailed following a DUII crash early Sunday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just before 4:30 a.m. the 27-year-old crashed her vehicle into a ditching, thinking she was pulling into the driveway of an establishment in the 4500 block of Old Highway 99 South in the Green District. The driveway was 50 yards away.
The woman admitted to consuming alcohol before the deputy’s arrival. The deputy observed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person and had slow and slurred speech. She was taken into custody and transported to corrections which a search warrant was applied for. The search warrant was granted and a breath test showed a blood alcohol level of 0.10 percent.
The woman was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. She was detained without bail and was released on Sunday.
