The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a hit and run incident which occurred Monday night.
A DCSO report said shortly after 8:30 p.m. deputies responded to the 4800 block of Melqua Road after a caller said a vehicle had hit a tree and there were subjects standing around it who appeared to be uninjured. Central Douglas Fire & Rescue arrived on scene to find no one around. The sedan had heavy front end damage and full airbag deployment. Two mailboxes were damaged. A towing company removed the vehicle from the scene.
