West Goedeck Avenue in Roseburg is expected to reopen by 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22nd, following sanitary sewer work on the Roseburg Urban Sanitary Authority wastewater treatment plant.
A city release said the reopening applies to the section of West Goedeck Avenue extending east from Old Melrose Road toward Lookingglass Road. The road had most recently been expected to remain closed through Monday, October 26th.
Following the reopening, Old Melrose Road is scheduled to close from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 23rd, to allow Allied Trenchless to remove an underground bypass installed for the project and replace some sewer services.
The release said the Old Melrose Road closure will affect the section immediately north of West Goedeck Avenue toward West Harvard Avenue. Detour signs will be posted, and local residents will be allowed access to their properties.
Motorists should use alternate routes, allow additional travel time and drive cautiously near crews and equipment.
Work schedules are subject to change as conditions develop. City staff will provide additional updates as they become available.
