The City of Roseburg Finance Department has earned national recognition for the city’s annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year that ended June 30th, 2025.

A city release said the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada announced on July 14th that the city had received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

The certificate recognizes the city’s commitment to producing clear, comprehensive and transparent financial reports. The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report presents the city’s audited financial statements and provides detailed information about its financial performance and position during the fiscal year.

The release said an impartial GFOA panel reviewed the report and determined that it met the program’s high standards, including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” and clearly communicating the city’s financial story.

GFOA describes the certificate as the highest form of recognition available in governmental accounting and financial reporting. Receiving the award represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management, according to the release.
