Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man for felony warrants on Friday night.
A DCSO report said shortly after 11:00 p.m. a deputy witnessed the 39-year-old at a business in the 500 block of Bear Creek Road in Curtin, trying to start his bike. The deputy knew the man had the warrants for his arrest. As he went to contact the suspect, he took off running from the store The suspect was located later with assistance from the Cottage Grove Police Department and was taken into custody. The warrants were for first-degree criminal mischief and for 4th-degree assault. He was detained without bail.
