TUESDAY TIES FOR SECOND HOTTEST DAY OF 2026, COOLER WEATHER EXPECTED

Tuesday tied for the second hottest day of 2026 so far in Roseburg, but cooler weather is expected for the rest of the week.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 98 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That tied Monday and June 14th for the second hottest day of the year. June 15th was the hottest day to this point at 99 degrees.

Forecasters said Roseburg should see a slight chance of showers this afternoon and a high of around 93 degrees. Thunder showers are possible but are most likely to stay in eastern Douglas County. Highs will drop to the upper 80s Thursday and Friday. Marine air in the region will lead to additional cooling this weekend with highs down to the mid 80’s. No additional precipitation is expected.
