Roseburg Police jailed a man on drug charges on Monday night.

An RPD report said just after 8:45 p.m. officers contacted 50-year-old David Cloud in the 1600 block of Northeast Keasey Street and took him into custody on an unrelated case. During the contact, Cloud admitted to having methamphetamine in his pocket. Officers located a bag allegedly containing about 41.14 grams of suspected methamphetamine. He was charged with unlawful possession and distribution of methamphetamine. Other charges were added by the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team.

Cloud was detained without bail and was released later in the evening.
