RIVERBEND LIVE! WITH CHICAGO BLUES ON FRIDAY NIGHT

Riverbend Live! has an evening of Chicago blues on Friday night at 7:00 p.m.

Guitarist and vocalist Ronnie Baker Brooks grew up immersed in the Chicago blues tradition. The son of legendary blues artist Lonnie Brooks, Ronnie learned directly from icons like B.B. King, Albert Collins, Willie Dixon and Koko Taylor. His latest album, “Blues in my DNA” won three 2025 Blues Music Awards, including song of the year.

The concert series is held at Winston’s Riverbend Park, and is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Attendees can bring blankets or chairs along with their dinner and wine or beer. Vendors will also have food, snacks and adult beverages. Smoking and pets are not permitted at the venue.

Cowboy poetry and western music, and the annual youth theater production are coming over the next two weeks.
