Sutherlin Throwdown is happening Saturday and Sunday.

The event features a sanctioned barbecue competition, beer sampling, cornhole tournament and live music. All proceeds from the event support the Made for Trades scholarship program, an initiative dedicated to empowering aspiring skilled workers.

It is being held at Central Park in Sutherlin beginning each day at 10:00 a.m.

Saturday night an auction will be held at 6:15 p.m. where attendees can bid on items built as part of the Made for Trades. Live music will be featured at 7:00 p.m.

Sunday the sanctioned barbecue competition takes place. At 3:00 p.m. cornhole tournament awards and barbecue awards will be announced.
