Roseburg Police jailed a man for DUII/alcohol on Tuesday morning.

An RPD report said shortly after 10:00 a.m. officers responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Stephens Street after a caller said an intoxicated man was trying to steal items from the business. Officers contacted the 36-year-old, who appeared to be intoxicated and admitted to driving to the location. The man reportedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. He requested an attorney and a search warrant was ultimately obtained for his blood. The man was detained without bail and was released on Wednesday.
