Roseburg Police cited a teen for unlawful directing of light from a laser pointer on Tuesday night.

An RPD report said at 7:45 p.m. officers were conducting security at Stewart Park on Northwest Stewart Parkway during the Music on the Half Shell show when a 14-year-old allegedly shined a green laser pointer at an officer’s chest and then shined the laser in the officer’s eye. The officer’s vision was temporarily blurred as a result of the incident.

The teen was released to a parent after the citation was issued.
