Construction of the Southeast Stephens Street Improvement Project is scheduled to begin on Monday July 13th and continue through September.

A City of Roseburg release said work will include:

*Sidewalk and ADA ramp improvements at Southeast Rice Street, Southeast Roberts Avenue, Southeast Burke Street, Southeast Waite Avenue, Southeast Haynes Avenue, and Southeast Brockway Avenue.

*Road paving on Southeast Stephens Street from the southern city limits to beyond Southeast Brockway.

Motorists should expect:

*Lane restrictions and periodic closures during construction

*Nighttime paving to reduce traffic impacts

*Access to businesses and homes maintained whenever possible

*Pedestrian detours around active work zones
